DFS Labs and SDF hosted a blockchain bootcamp in Africa with nine companies building on Stellar. Three companies earned $15,000 for ready-to-deploy solutions (HoneyCoin, Stax, Bonafide), while six earned $5,000 for demonstrating rapid technology adoption in their workflows.

DFS Labs partnered with the Stellar Development Foundation to run a virtual blockchain bootcamp supporting African fintech innovation. Nine companies participated in a week-long design sprint with mentor guidance and Stellar developer support, culminating in a demo day with investors. Three companies earned $15,000 awards for building production-ready Stellar solutions: HoneyCoin (P2P creator platform with Horizon API integration), Stax (offline-first universal money app using USDC), and Bonafide (diaspora savings wallet). Six companies earned $5,000 for demonstrating rapid technology adoption: WindPay (multi-currency super-app), Pesapeer (remittance service), Gravity (merchant financing via crowdfunded pools), Fonbnk (airtime-to-wallet gateway), Quidroo (invoice factoring platform), and DyaPay (cross-border payments).
