Rise In <> Stellar Ambassador Program in Indonesia Helps Builders Ship: The Cyphras Story

Fajrin, a self-taught developer from South Kalimantan, led the first Stellar Ambassador gathering in his region and is now building Cyphras, a private payments wallet on Soroban, after winning Instawards funding through the Ambassador Program. His story illustrates how the Stellar ecosystem turns early-stage builders into real shipping products.

Lumen Loop's take

Fajrin taught himself blockchain development in isolation in South Kalimantan, building small projects and iterating on ideas with little external support. When the Stellar Ambassador Program arrived in Indonesia through Rise In, he stepped into a leadership role and led the first regional gathering. His project Cyphras—a private payments wallet on Stellar's Soroban smart contracts—was accepted into Instawards, a new funding mechanism from SCF 7.0 that backs early-stage builders with up to $15,000. This support funded a focused thirty-day sprint to build the core zero-knowledge infrastructure and web wallet. Fajrin's story exemplifies what the Ambassador Program is designed to do: identify local builders, nurture them with mentorship and education, and provide the early capital that bridges the gap between a promising idea and a real shipping product.
