The Stellar Development Foundation announced three significant updates to its lumen distribution programs. The Stellar Community Fund will enable the community to guide lumen allocation through elected Community Ambassadors who review and vote on project proposals bi-annually. The Partnership Grant Program, established in 2017, has awarded 34 companies from 450+ applications and will expand its focus areas in 2019. Additionally, SDF launched the Stellar Academic Research Program to fund high-quality research on topics including the Stellar Consensus Protocol, Byzantine fault tolerance, scalability, privacy, and empirical studies of the Stellar network.
