Sorobanathon: Road to Mainnet was a month-long virtual hackathon organized by the Stellar Development Foundation from September 1st to October 11th, 2023, designed to foster innovation in the Soroban ecosystem. The event attracted diverse submissions showcasing developer technical prowess across multiple use cases. Four projects were awarded: Cowchain Farm (first place) — an idle blockchain game featuring cow trading and auctions; Divify (second place) — an iOS app for shared expense management using Soroban smart contracts; Kwickbit & Paltalabs (third place) — a compliance solution for tracking and reporting on-chain activities; and Soro-Shark (Best Beginner Soroban Tinkerer) — an equity tokenization platform. The article also highlights learning resources including RPCiege for Rust and Soroban education, and the Soroban Dapps Challenge. SDF's DevRel team plans to organize more hackathons in 2024 to continue attracting talent to the Stellar ecosystem.
