Stellar Development Foundation announces Starbridge, a trust-minimized bridge enabling bidirectional asset transfers between Stellar and Ethereum. The project uses decentralized m-of-n signer architecture to lock assets and facilitate wrapped asset transfers across blockchains.

The Stellar Development Foundation has announced Starbridge, a new blockchain bridge project designed to connect Stellar with Ethereum in a trust-minimized way. Starbridge enables symmetrical bidirectional transfers of Stellar assets and ERC-20 tokens through a decentralized m-of-n signer architecture that controls locked assets. The bridge supports local assets and wrapped assets, with transfer flows that include deposit, observation, signing, and completion steps. Key requirements include decentralized governance, offline wallet support, sub-five-second latency, and no throughput constraints. The project is in early development and represents Stellar's effort to serve as an interoperability layer between traditional finance and evolving blockchain networks.
