SDF launched the Anchor Platform at Meridian, a new product that reduces development time for fintechs integrating into Stellar by translating existing APIs into SEP-compliant interfaces. Bitso and Red Chapina are already using it for cross-border payments.

The Stellar Development Foundation announced the Anchor Platform at Meridian conference in Rome, a prepackaged solution designed to lower barriers for anchors integrating into the Stellar network. The platform abstracts SEP-specific functionality, allowing banks, exchanges, and money transfer operators to connect existing infrastructure without building parallel interfaces. Bitso and Red Chapina successfully trialed the platform for receive-side cross-border payments using SEP-31 protocol. The platform currently supports cross-border payments and will expand to include send-side payments and deposits/withdrawals based on ecosystem feedback.
