The Stellar Community Fund Seed Round blog post features two finalist projects addressing financial inclusion and social impact. Leaf Global Fintech, founded by Nat Robinson and Tori Samples, built a wallet for East African refugees and cross-border traders that works on basic phones via USSD technology, supporting multi-currency savings and free transfers. Task.io, founded by Steve Walker and Matt Rickard, provides nonprofits and NGOs with tools to track remote team activity, process payments in stablecoins or branded tokens, and offer donors transparent proof of fund usage through Stellar's ledger. Both projects leverage Stellar's low fees, fast speeds, and on/off ramps to serve underbanked populations and social impact organizations across multiple geographies.
