The program will distribute more than $200,000 in USD Coin (USDC) stablecoins to 325 mothers over six months, with each participant receiving $100 monthly stipends directly to their smartphones via VIA's app. VIA's technology is designed to work in disrupted environments with unreliable internet and electricity, enabling offline payments and eliminating the security risks associated with cash distribution. USDC is a regulated stablecoin redeemable 1:1 for U.S. dollars, providing stability and protection from cryptocurrency volatility.
