WalletConnect expands Stellar network support and launches WalletConnect Pay in Bermuda through partnership with Penrose Partners, enabling merchants to accept payments directly from Stellar wallets. The first merchant is Premier Tickets, Bermuda's leading ticketing platform.
WalletConnect, a connectivity network connecting 900 million end users through 700+ wallets, announced expanded support for the Stellar network and the launch of WalletConnect Pay in Bermuda. Through a partnership with Penrose Partners, a digital asset consultancy, the initiative aims to support the Government of Bermuda's plan to become the world's first fully onchain economy. LOBSTR, the Stellar wallet built by Ultra Stellar, is the first wallet live with WalletConnect Pay on Stellar. Premier Tickets, Bermuda's leading event ticketing platform, will be the first merchant, allowing customers to pay for tickets directly from Stellar wallets. Payments go straight from customer to organizer, eliminating intermediaries. PTIX payments are expected to go live in Q2 2027.
