WisdomTree has received SEC approval for nine new blockchain-enabled funds that use Stellar and Ethereum blockchains to maintain secondary records of share ownership, with Securrency Transfers managing the transfer agent role. The new offerings include US Treasury funds and the WisdomTree 500 Digital Fund tracking US equity performance. These funds do not invest in crypto but leverage blockchain infrastructure for enhanced liquidity and transparency. All funds will be available exclusively through WisdomTree Prime, a mobile app in beta testing set for national rollout next quarter. WisdomTree has invested approximately $20 million in tokenization and the Prime app, positioning blockchain-enabled finance as the future of asset management.
