Spiko crossed $1 billion in tokenized assets on Stellar, the first platform on the network to reach that RWA threshold. SushiSwap enabled cross-chain swaps for XLM and USDC across 40+ chains, and Stellar's JavaScript SDK v16 shipped alongside the Protocol 27 testnet upgrade.
Spiko Real-World Assets Hit $1 Billion
Spiko, which offers tokenized EU T-Bill and US Treasury money-market funds, crossed $1 billion in tokenized assets on Stellar this week. Two additional institutional products launched alongside the milestone.
Archax, an FCA-regulated digital asset platform, launched $GOVY, a perpetual auto-rolling tokenized US Treasury Bill token aligned with HQLA Level 1 principles. Institutions can subscribe via stablecoins with direct legal ownership and FCA-authorized custody, without fund wrappers or SPVs.
Anchorage Digital, an OCC-chartered bank, announced institutional custody for Etherfuse's tokenized Mexican government debt (CETES) on Stellar. Etherfuse tokenizes the bonds, Stellar settles, and Anchorage holds, completing the institutional stack for sovereign Latin American yield on a public blockchain.
Cross-Chain Connectivity
SushiSwap went live with cross-chain swaps for Stellar. XLM and USDC on Stellar are now swappable across 40+ chains. In the same window, deJTRSY (tokenized US Treasury exposure) and deJAAA (tokenized AAA-rated CLO exposure) became tradable on SushiSwap, extending on-chain access to institutional-grade RWA instruments for Stellar users.
Allbridge extended its Next bridge to support non-stablecoin assets including ETH, BNB, SOL, TRX, and XLM between Stellar and all supported chains. Spectra Finance completed a Certora security audit for its Stellar bridge, the protocol's first non-EVM deployment. Fixed-rate deposits, interest rate swaps, and Principal/Yield Token primitives will follow once the bridge is live.
Protocol and Developer Infrastructure
Stellar's JavaScript SDK v16.0.0 shipped on June 18 alongside the Protocol 27 testnet upgrade. The release modernizes the SDK's TypeScript foundation and merges stellar-base into the package. Developers should upgrade for Protocol 27 compatibility.
SEP-53 advanced to Final status this week, with active development continuing on SEP-57 (RWA hooks) and SEP-58 (content-addressable source fields). A discussion opened on read-only external storage reads for Soroban, proposing that contracts read external contract storage without invoking Wasm, with prototype PRs open across the host, SDK, and RPC layers. The change targets lending protocols that distribute execution across multiple contracts.
XCCY, funded through SCF #43, presented its Soroban architecture at the June 18 developer meeting: a virtual AMM (VIMM) enabling fixed-rate deposits, loans, and interest rate swaps, with connections to Blend and Alula.
