Okiki, PM for Freighter, announced Freighter Mobile, a new reference wallet for Stellar and Soroban now live on iOS and Android. The app features a Discover tab for dApps, SEP50 NFT support, Blockade integration for transaction security, and SEP53 message signatures for safe smart contract interactions.
Freighter Mobile has launched on the App Store and Google Play Store as the Stellar Development Foundation's next-generation reference wallet. The mobile app includes a Discover tab showcasing Stellar ecosystem dApps, support for SEP50 NFTs, integration with Blockade for detecting malicious transactions, and SEP53 message signatures for transparent smart contract signing. The demo showed swapping XLM to USDC via Expo and supplying liquidity on Blend directly within the app. Freighter has grown to over 40,000 wallets created and 100,000 transactions in the past nine months. Future features include smart wallet integration, contact lists, NFT sending, yield tracking across DeFi positions, and feature parity between mobile and the browser extension. The team is also working on bringing NFT support to the extension and maintaining open-source development for community contributions.
