Stellar Expert ships Albedo, a production-ready delegated signer that lets Stellar app users sign transactions and access services without sharing secret keys. Built over eight years, it bridges wallet and application ecosystems with a unified protocol, while encrypted key storage stays offline and secure.

After eight years and five major architecture revisions, Stellar Expert released Albedo, a production-ready delegated signer that addresses wallet fragmentation in the Stellar ecosystem. Unlike traditional wallets requiring users to trust apps with secret keys, Albedo encrypts keys locally and never transmits them over the network. It works as a unified interface for apps seeking transaction signatures or identity verification, similar to MetaMask for Ethereum but built natively for Stellar. The tool includes 15+ features: multi-account support, trustline creation, hardware wallet integration, SEP-0007 compatibility, and a lightweight JavaScript library. Developers can integrate with minimal code; a payment request generator enables non-developers to embed Stellar payments anywhere. Stellar Expert plans to add comprehensive transaction validation covering 46 error cases, federation address support, multisig aggregation, and built-in KYC integration.
