Source of Tales, a persistent online game originally developed a decade ago, relaunched in 2023 under a Stellar Community Fund #10 grant focused on blockchain integration. The initial phase introduced Stellar wallet-based login, allowing players to authenticate using Albedo rather than traditional usernames and passwords. The technical implementation uses a NodeJS-based Mana Stellar Bridge that intermediates between the Qt/C++ game client and the Albedo wallet, eliminating the need for the server to store sensitive credentials. Early access launched across Windows, Linux, and Android. The team invited contributors to help build out further Stellar integration including on-chain character data storage.
