IRL, a cultural loyalty platform, successfully onboarded 73,000+ people into the Stellar ecosystem through real-world activations at Meridian 2025 in Rio de Janeiro and Art Basel's Stellar House in Miami, using Privy wallets and IRL Touchpoints to create seamless onchain experiences without requiring crypto knowledge.
IRL, supported by the Stellar Community Fund Build Award, demonstrated how culture can serve as a gateway to blockchain adoption by powering two major cultural activations. At Meridian 2025 in Rio, attendees created Meridian Pay accounts through photo booth experiences, with 1,320 portraits taken across three stations. At Stellar House Miami during Art Basel, visitors created Privy-powered Stellar accounts, checked in via IRL Touchpoints, earned IRL Points on Stellar, and collected digital artworks from featured artists. The platform achieved sub-30-second onboarding by removing crypto language and complexity, allowing participants to earn rewards and access cultural experiences without realizing they were using blockchain. IRL plans to expand this model to eight additional cities globally, positioning Stellar as the infrastructure layer for a multichain cultural loyalty system.
