The Stellar Development Foundation announced an XLM-donation-matching initiative to support charitable organizations during a global crisis. Committing 2.5M XLM through a partnership with Lumenthropy, the SDF will donate 100,000 XLM to each of six eligible charities (UNICEF, The Tor Project, Heifer International, Watsi, Freedom of the Press, and Women Who Code) and match additional community donations on a weekly basis throughout April. The program leverages Stellar's network and community to fund organizations addressing healthcare, poverty, free speech, and education. Lumenthropy has onboarded these nonprofits to accept lumen donations and is expanding to support additional organizations.
