Drips Wave 2 concluded with significant improvements to contributor diversity and reward fairness. Wave 3 launches March 23rd with new features including real-time Sybil defenses, AI-assisted workflows, and stricter contribution limits to prevent farming.

Drips Wave 2 successfully implemented application limits and quadratic reward scaling, resulting in flatter point distributions and more diverse contributor participation across repositories. Wave 3, launching March 23rd, introduces enhanced Sybil attack defenses with real-time detection mechanisms ranging from CAPTCHA to KYC verification. New AI-assisted features include automated quota release for pending PRs and automatic issue points appeals through Discord. The platform is also lowering per-organization contribution limits from 7 to 4 issues and adding application editing and explicit rejection capabilities to improve the contributor experience.
