Stellar Development Foundation's validator nodes went offline on Tuesday, temporarily halting transaction processing. The Horizon API was restored, but SDF engineers continued investigating the cause while working with Tier 1 validators to restore full network functionality.

The Stellar Development Foundation experienced a network incident on Tuesday when certain validator nodes dropped offline around 1:00 am PDT, temporarily disrupting transaction processing. The SDF's public Horizon API instance also went down but was subsequently restored. While the broader Stellar network remained online, block explorers showed transaction processing had stalled. SDF's engineering team worked to identify the root cause and restore nodes, actively coordinating with all Tier 1 validators. Crypto exchanges including Bitstamp and Bitfinex temporarily halted XLM deposits and withdrawals in response to the network issues.
